Hotel Lakelands Farm Guesthouse

Boasting spectacular views over Lough Currane, Europe's best salmon and sea trout lake, this charming guesthouse is ideally placed for enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings. During your stay at Lakelands Farm you can try a number of country pursuits including shooting and fishing, both of which can be organised by the owners. Also nearby is Skelligs Bay which is home to a golf course and a choice of water-sports. In the evenings you can unwind by the large open fire in one of the spacious lounges, equipped with satellite TV, before sampling traditional home-cooked food in the dining room. For pure indulgence you can enjoy a treatment from the in-house beauty therapist. Frank, your host, is a professional angling guide and boatman. The guesthouse has its own motor boats for hire which are moored on a private shoreline just 300 metres from the house, with easy access by car. The fishing season is from 17th January through to 30th September. Shooting season is from 1st of November through to 31st of January. There is an excellent shoot for woodcock and snipe in the house's private grounds. The owners can organise shooting parties, dogs, gun licenses and more on request.
